"The time has come. The foreseen evil is coming. But my wish is now hereby accomplished after an eternity."testing courage
At Magical City Aglis, the group encountered Savan and his creations. Savan was a Wingly that made himself ageless and immortal in order to reconstruct a Wingly world though magic. 4000 years of solitude taught him the world of Winglies was obsolete. After losing the significance of life and the meaning of death, the Black Monster appeared in the mirror he used to view the outside world. The actions of Rose, who fought to protect the world she created, gave meaning back to Savan's life and he restarted his studies. For 7000 years he worked on constructing an end to Rose's cruel fate. The result of that construction was the Psychedelic Bomb and Moot.
However the Psychedelic Bomb would not function without sufficient courage. Savan required the Dragoons to make the spell work. Each Dragoon must endure a challenge that will take their courage and create the Psychedelic Bomb. A test of character is given to each person and their response determines the strength of the item. The 'bad' response will result in a one-use only Psychedelic Bomb however if everyone gives 'good' responses, the party will receive the reusable Psychedelic Bomb X.
Meru's test is given by Buckle. The purpose is to test Meru's ability to live up to her responsibilities. She must prove that she won't run away from her problems. By knowing her death would prevent her from atoning for her mistakes, Meru is able to win her challenge and give her true courage to the Psychedelic Bomb. Her good response is "I still cannot die!"
challenge dialogue
Meru: "Nothing is here. Boring."
Meru: "Bardel!? Why are you here!?"
Younger Bardel: "I came back from the infernal world to get revenge for my sister!"
Younger Bardel: "Are you interrupting me Guaraha!?"
Meru: "Guaraha?"
Guaraha: "You told me, Meru. You would come back to settle matter of his sister after the journey. So, you cannot die here."
Younger Bardel: "Make amends with your death!! My sister admired you! How can you still live after taking the life of my sister!?"
Meru: "I still cannot die! I cannot do anything if I die! Even make amends!!"
Lulu: "It was tough, wasn’t it. Poor Meru."
Savan: "Death does not make amends. “Making amends” only exists in life. We surely saw the courage of Meru who knew and chose to live. We are starting the next challenge.
