origin

"This is a tool to amplity the insanity." Meru transforms

The Blue-Sea Dragoon Spirit was originally created before or during the Dragon Campaign. A Dragoon Spirit is the pure essence of a dragon's soul at the last moment of life. Damia was the first to be recognized by this spirit and it is likely she killed a dragon to obtain it. Dragoons are often called the incarnations of dragons as they possess power that the original dragon used.

This spirit is given to Lenus, either by Lloyd or the fake Emperor Diaz, so she may fight against Dart and his group at Prison Island. After her death, the spirit recognizes Meru.

A Dragoon Spirit's source of power is the insanity humans make themselves enter in order to fight. However it is possible to be overwhelmed by this power. Only strong willed individuals can hope to control dragons. Dragoon Spirits can also only be used to their full capacity during conflict. It is difficult for a Dragoon to transform outside of battle. The spirit grants the Dragoon the ability to fly, cast magic and control dragons under its influence. It is also possible for a Dragoon to have a vassal dragon accompany them.

Dragoon Spirits attract one another and Dragoons will gather as a result. The first instance of this was during the Dragon Campaign. Afterwards the spirits vanished along with the Dragoons. The spirits only gather at times of great need and disappear as soon as they are finished their task. Dragoons possess the strength to take on gods and are the greatest weapon of humans.

meru's awakening

"Does that mean this Dragoon Spirit chose me? It means....Am I one of the Dragoons?"

Meru received the Blue-Sea Dragoon Spirit after Lenus' death at Prison Island. Meru is in awe when she first received the spirit. She had already been feeling slight kinship with Lenus as they were both Winglies and to receive her spirit was in a way sisterly. Meru had also watched her companions and their powers and to now be one of them brought her great joy.

Naturally, Meru replaced this awe with excitement and her victory dance lasted longer that her friends were willing to stay for. She had to run after them to catch up.

Meru desires to use this power to protect the world found to exist outside the forest of her youth. She also wishes to free the world from a predetermined fate and let everyone co-exist together with no hate or prejudice.

powers

"It’ll be over quick! Let’s save Regole!" Meru and Damia

The Blue-Sea Dragoon is part offense/part defense. It has both attack spells and healing spells that its user can draw from. The spirit also seems to be able to use both liquid water and frozen water as Lenus uses water spells and Meru uses ice spells. The spirit also attracts the dragon Regole and is able to influence and control it. However it is not clear if Regole was Damia's vassal dragon or simply just a dragon that fell under its influence.

If Regole simply falls under the spirit's influence, it's possible each spirit can control the dragons under its element as well as vassal dragons.

Meru, Damia and Lenus all have the same armor. Meru and Damia both use the same spells and weapon and Lenus has new spells and circular discs. The spirit seems to be able to change its form to suit its user, including the nature of its element.
