Wingly Forest

Meru running off

The Wingly Forest was the home of a surviving pocket of Winglies who decended from the followers of Melbu Frahma. Hidden within the Evergreen Forest in Mille Seseau, local rumor had it that fairies lived within the forest. In truth, these fairies were likely Winglies that local villages saw and not knowing what a Wingly was, assumed they were mystical.

The Wingly Forest contained archeture far more advanced than human technology with teleporters and a power generator that turned the life force of trees into usable energy. Also contained in the settlement was the entrance to the Forbidden Land which was actually the remains of the Wingly Capital Kadessa.

long time no see

"It's been a long time! I wonder if everybody is doin' all right?" Guard duty

While the group traveled though the Evergreen Forest, Meru tried to sneak away while her friends were distracted with Rose's own departure. She was quickly discovered and she laughed it off by explaining she was only going to visit her parents. Unlike Rose, Meru departed with the good wishes of Haschel and backtracked though the forest to the secret entrance.

After opening the seal and entering, Meru was met with opposition. It was quickly discovered her apparent assaulter was none other than her fiancee Guaraha. They began to argue about Meru leaving the forest. Meru did not care about the taboos or rules and decided to talk to the Ancestor about it. Unfortunately she soon met up with an angry community of Winglies who did not wish for Meru to return.

negociations

"You never met them and you shouldn't hate them!!" Black sheep of the Winglies

Meru is met when yells of anger and told to leave the forest as she is no longer welcome. The Ancestor arrived in time to prevent any hostilities towards Meru but also told her to leave as she had broken an important taboo. Meru was upset that no one will listen to her when she explained that some humans might be bad but most are good. Unfortunately her former friends and family would not listen.

Meru agreed to leave the forest as her presence was upsetting everyone. Unhappy that she could not convince them to stop following outdated laws, Meru was about to leave her home in disgrace until Guaraha called out her name.

private conversations

"You are kind, as always. But if you do, you will be hated as well. I gotta go. Everybody's waiting for me. " Meru and Guaraha

Guaraha stopped Meru and wanted to her understand that everyone was on edge more than usual and it wasn't all her fault. Both Meru and Guaraha had both felt the earth tremble. Guaraha explained that the Ancestor believed it was due to the Divine Dragon. While the Dragon Buster was stolen years ago, something that Meru denied doing and Guaraha confirmed would be impossible for her to do, the Dragon Block Staff was still in their possession.

However the Divine Dragon was still a force to be reckoned with. Guaraha tried his best to plead his case to Meru and have her stay. He promised to protect Meru from the others however Meru did not want her fiancee to be hated as well. Meru leaves a heartbroken Guaraha behind again. Still putting up a strong front, this experience no doubt troubled her deeply.
