She seem irritated that Meru thinks their journey is going to be fun.

In return, Meru finds Rose to be dark and scary at times. During the trip on the Queen Fury, Dart chastises her for saying bad things about her friends when she tells Dart she finds Rose to be weird and that she might be involved in shady things since Rose is never telling them about herself. Dart reminds her that Meru is pretty mysterious about her past as well. Meru and Rose have some things in common, more than Rose would likely admit.

Rose also agrees with Meru that the world cannot be destroyed because everyone is the same. Rose also claimed that it was the first time she had ever agreed with Meru. Haschel likely sees his daughter Claire in Meru and enjoys being around her for that reason as well as for Meru herself.

When Haschel fakes being hurt in order to sneak off and confront Gerich, Meru stays behind to look after him. This throws a wench into his plans. miranda

Meru gets upset when Miranda accuses of her running back to her forest to hide. Miranda is very blunt and likely meant no insult. Meru also likely realizes that is Miranda's way of motivating her. Meru is also confused when Miranda claims she was lonely and often came to Kashua Glacier. However Meru is quick to understand when Miranda explains she was abandoned by her birth mother and adopted by Queen Theresa.
